Other than the obvious - that we should not be running a 32 bit server
edition on a 64 bit server, is there support for this option?
Windows server 2003 R2 64 bit duo quad, 16 meg ram...
Windows Sql 2000 - std ed.

JamieI believe it is supported as if service pack 4:

25 copies of a process "EXECUTING" which had been spawned by a leaking Net 2
application (MRP). The parellel plan cost was 5 and all processors were in
use. We reset to 1 processor and dropped the parellel plan cost to 1. It
would appear this is fixing the issue, but hopes are that we can tweak this.
Using the MAXDOP option in the query is part of the plan. Where to start is
the question and "fortunately", the seniors are now at least talking upgrade
to 64 bit SQL 2005.
