To be exact, there is not a 64-bit version of SQL Express, so there is no unique documentation for it. SQL Express 2005 only has a 32-bit version, the difference between the two packages, SQLEXPR32.EXE and SQLEXPR.EXE is that the latter contains the files required to run SQL Express in Windows on Windows (Wow) on x64 operating systems, but it's still 32-bit. Either package will install onto 32-bit OS, but only the second one can install on 64-bit. We did this to allow for a smaller download size if you know your gong to always install to 32-bit, which is the case for most Express users.
